10/10 on Incarna's first steps CCP, Bravo.
Don't let these other ingrates get your spirits down with their whining, this is superb work. I'll tell you why:
Pentium 4 Prescott HT 3,0ghz Singlecore 2gb Corsair DDR2667 (4-4-4-12) -underclocked- to 533mhz due to crappy motherboard limitations XFX GeForce 9600GT 512mb
Station runs smooth at 30fps, and I get as much as 60fps out in space. No laggyness while fighting/walking/checking quarters. Does take about 35 seconds to load station environment, but afterwards everything is fine. 1280x960 resolution, all graphics options maxed except AA which at this resolution doesn't help much anyway.
To all the whiners reading this thread going on about performance problems.. well.. My 7 year old hardware > you.

I don't get why you guys are having such problems. Forceware 260.99 & 9600 GT and a P4 3.0ghz single core with 2gb of RAM is displaying/running the game fine. Well, I build computers for a living and have a much higher technical understanding of how to tweak and perfect a system regardless of setup than most people which could be why I can get the game to run smooth.. but even so the games system requirements haven't tripled since the update or anything...

You people coming here spamming "AMG CCP CQ SUX GET RID OF IT OR IM GOING TO CANCEL MY 4 ACCOUNTS" need to chill the f**k out.
If you have 4 accounts it's probably because you enjoy this game and have enjoyed this game for a very long time and threatening CCP with quitting just because you can't run all 4 of them for about a day or two while they work out the issues with content they gave you for free just makes you look like a really big a**hole. Not everyone is having issues with the new update, in fact for some people it's running just fine so maybe instead of coming here to tell CCP you're quitting you should think about what YOU can do you help CCP iron out YOURproblem faster.

So after reading so many posts about performance problems yesterday in this thread I decided to do a little testing of my own using the following hardware (which I posted yesterday as well but here's a recap) If this is the wrong place to be posting performance information concerning Incarna then I do apologize and request this post be moved to the appropriate section.
CPU: LGA 775 Pentium 4 Prescott HT 3.0ghz (yes, 1 physical core and 1 virtual core) RAM: 2gb Corsair DDR2-667 @ 533mhz clock // 1.8v (4-4-4-12 timings, RAM is made to run at 667mhz with 5-5-5-15 so it's "balanced" I suppose) MOBO: MSI P4M890M GPU: XFX GeForce 9600 GT 512mb PCIe x16 (ForceWare 260.99) HDD: 500gb Hitachi 7200RPM IDE (yes, no SATA) OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x86, -HEAVILY- tweaked and stripped of unnecessary Micro$oft garbage. I have advanced knowledge and over 15 years of experience with Windows based computers. My settings should I post them ARE NOT RECOMMENDED FOR THE STANDARD USER. You have been warned.
My system idles with < = 1% CPU usage and about 17% Memory consumption with a task list of 24 processes (25 with the task manager itself so +1) running. Keep in mind I have just 2gb of memory. Important things to know about my OS setup: -- Windows Firewall has been deactivated. I have a hardware firewall. -- I have no antivirus program, no need for one on this machine. -- Windows Defender has been deactivated. -- UAC has been deactivated. -- Various services and processes not required to sustain the Windows kernal (Such as Plug and Play related services which can be activated manually) and operation of the OS have been deactivated. -- I have personally tailored the ForceWare drivers in the nVidia Control Panel for my GPU for performance over quality. Personally I see no real difference in texture quality in game etc. PhysX and frame prerenders are set to be handled by my GPU taking that load off my poor Pentium 4.
==================== Single Client Report ==================== Station load time regardless of game graphics settings (tested with lowest settings, a medium range of settings, and highest settings) remains at +/- half a minute. In station Captain's Quarters FPS as per in the game FPS tool -- Lowest: 14.1 // Highest: 29.6 accounting for avatar movement, different camera positions, and also regardless of graphical setting.
I am happy to report an actual increase in FPS whilst in space, with the highest game settings post-patch. Before Incarna I averaged 42 FPS in space while ratting or doing missions. I seem to balance at an even 55 now. =============== Dual Client Report =============== Dual boxing with Captain's Quarters activated on both client junctions is still possible for my machine although the strain of the new content is very apparent if one or both characters are docked. Client responsiveness has been noticeably impaired, which is to be expected from such an update. I disabled resource caching in the clients' options which lead to slightly longer loading times for both clients but less performance hit once a character was in space. I do not have more than 2 active accounts so I can not test performance with more than 2 clients. I would expect the results from attempting to run 3 on this hardware to be catastrophical. Running 2, however, although not in the same performance bracket as before Incarna, still proves to be acceptable.
================ Character Editor ================ I experienced 3 crashes in total using the editor on best settings with the exception of the physx simulation. I left that off. All 3 times the client crashed after the "changes-made-bar" at the bottom reached about 50%. Extreme graphical anomalies were observed during editing, ranging from complete "blueing" of my character's skin to complete texture quality fallout of items until I changed them again. The latter happened more often during Outer Top editing (jackets etc) which primarily caused my characters face to "blur." Cont.
